1. Introduction

This Cookies Policy explains how Stand Expo SRL (“Stand Expo”, “we”, “us”, “our”) uses cookies and similar tracking technologies on standexpo.ro. It also explains what these technologies are, why we use them, and the choices you have regarding their use.

We use a Consent Management Platform (Cookiebot by Cybot A/S) to manage your cookie preferences. When you first visit our website, a cookie banner will appear allowing you to accept or decline non-essential cookies by category. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time.

2. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device (computer, tablet or smartphone) by websites you visit. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently, to remember your preferences, and to provide information to website owners. Cookies are NOT viruses. However, some cookies — particularly advertising and analytics cookies — can process personal data (such as IP addresses and browsing behaviour) and are therefore subject to GDPR.

3. Consent Management (Cookiebot)

We use Cookiebot, a consent management platform operated by Cybot A/S (Havnegade 39, 1058 Copenhagen, Denmark) to obtain, record and manage your cookie consent. Cookiebot itself places a cookie on your device to remember your preferences:

Google LLC participates in the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and processes data under Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission, ensuring an adequate level of protection.

4.4 Live Chat Cookies (Crisp)

We use Crisp, a live chat service provided by Crisp IM SAS (2 Rue Paul Louis Courier, 75007 Paris, France). Crisp uses cookies solely to maintain your chat session across pages — they are not used for tracking or advertising purposes. All data is stored on servers in the European Union (Netherlands and Germany). No data is transferred outside the EU.

Crisp cookies are classified as strictly necessary for the chat functionality. They allow the chat widget to remember your conversation when you navigate between pages or return to the site within a session.

Your IP address is stored server-side and linked to your session cookie. If you do not start a conversation, the session and IP address are automatically deleted 30 minutes after your last page access. If you do start a chat, your IP address is retained as required by French law (minimum 1 year).

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — legitimate interest in providing customer support. No consent is required for Crisp’s session cookies as they are functional/necessary for the service you request.

Note: If you enable Crisp’s “Total Privacy” mode (which we have activated), the chat widget does not initialise or set any cookie until you manually open and interact with the chat. This means no cookie is set for visitors who do not use the chat.

4.5 Functional Cookies

These cookies allow the website to provide enhanced functionality and personalisation, such as remembering your language preference or keeping you logged in across pages. If you do not allow these cookies, some services may not function properly.

5. Server Log Files

Our web server automatically records certain information when you visit our site. This information, stored in server log files, includes:

  • Browser type and version
  • Operating system used
  • Referrer URL
  • Host name of the accessing computer
  • Time and date of the server request
  • IP address

This data is not combined with other data sources and is processed under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR on the basis of our legitimate interest in maintaining website security and performance. Log data is retained for a maximum of 30 days.

6. Google reCAPTCHA

We use Google reCAPTCHA (provided by Google LLC) on our contact forms to distinguish human users from automated bots and to prevent spam. reCAPTCHA analyses user behaviour (IP address, mouse movements, time spent on page) in the background without notifying the visitor.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — legitimate interest in protecting our website from automated abuse.
